Located in Northern Ecuador, Punta Suspiro is a quality left-hand point break that offers long, rippable sections. The waves here require a bit of skill to surf and break for up to 200 metres (656 feet) over a reef and sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Punta Suspiro?
Punta Suspiro gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard and then a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here usually has something to ride (5/10) and will generally be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the southeast. The best swells are from the northwest, south, southwest, and west. Punta Suspiro works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures range between 25°C (77°F) and 27°C (81°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
