Located in Northern Ecuador, Punta Bellaca is a quality left-hand point break that offers powerful walls when the conditions line up. The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 100 metres (328 feet) over a rock and sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Punta Bellaca?
Punta Bellaca gets good between chest-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard and then a step up as the size increases. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and will usually have a crew (6/10). The best winds are from the east. The best swells are from the southwest and west. Punta Bellaca works best on a low to mid tide.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures range between 25°C (77°F) and 27°C (81°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
