Located in Northern San Luis Obispo County, California, Saint Anne’s is a decent reef break that offers up some mellow and easygoing sections for longboarders and beginners. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a rock and sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Saint Anne’s?
Gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here doesn’t always have a wave (4/10) and will always have a crew (7/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Northwest and West and big. Works on a mid to high tide.
We recommend wearing a 4/3 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 15 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 12 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
