Located in San Luis Obispo County, California, Spooners Cove is a good left-hand big wave spot that offers up large walls of water up to 20 foot plus. This wave is no joke to surf and breaks for up to 200 meters over a rock bottom. Consequences here are grave, do not surf here if you are not an experienced big wave rider. Big barrels have been seen here, but it takes a lot of skill to do this. If you wipe out on take-off and end up on the cliffs, you’ll have to ditch your board and climb up, do not attempt to paddle back out. This spot is still pretty unknown thankfully, I wouldn’t take pics or bring more than one friend if you aren’t from here.
