More on Pico Creek
Found just south of Big Sur in San Luis Obispo County, Central California, Pico Creek is not a bad beach break. The waves here are pretty straightforward to surf and break from an outside section to a shore break for about 100 meters over a boulder and sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Pico Creek?
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend a longboard when it’s small and a shortboard for when the size comes. Pico Creek can provide opportunities for all levels of surfers to enjoy the water. It is a semi-consistent spot (5/10) and will get crowded on weekends and holidays (6/10). The spot works best on a medium to high tide, Northeast winds, and a swell from the Northwest, South, Southwest, or West.
