Located in Central Baja, Mexico, The Wall or Punta Rosarito is an excellent right-hand reef break that offers up powerful walls great for perfecting a rail game. The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a rocky bottom. Plenty of camping around.
What are the best surf conditions for Punta Rosarito/The Wall?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard and then stepping up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will get busy at peak times (5/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Northwest or West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 20°C (68°F). In the winter, a 4/3 is best when water temperatures drop to 15°C (59°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
