Located in Central Baja, Mexico on the island of Isla Natividad, Open Doors is an excellent beach break that offers up some gaping barrels when the conditions line up. The waves here are powerful and challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Open Doors?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or step-up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will generally be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the Northwest. The best swells are from the South, Southeast, or Southwest. works on all tides.
