What are the best surf conditions for Luz?
Gets good between waist-high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will never be crowded (2/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on high tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 18 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temps drop to 13 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
