Located in the Rivas Province, Nicaragua, Sally Ann’s is an excellent left-point break that offers up some hard, barreling walls when the right swell arrives. The waves here are pretty heavy and break for up to 100 meters over a rock and sand bottom. Needs to be big in order to break far enough away from the rocks.
What are the best surf conditions for Sally Anns?
Gets good between double and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard then a step up here. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will often be uncrowded. The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the South and Southwest. Works on a mid to high tide.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year round as water temperatures range between 29 and 27 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
