Located in the Rivas Province, Nicaragua, Punta Miramar is an excellent left point break that throws out speedy barrel sections when the conditions line up. The waves here can get heavy, especially at size and break for up to 100 meters over a boulder and sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Punta Miramar?
Gets good between chest-high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard and then s step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will generally be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the South and Southwest. Works all the time on a mid to high tide on bigger days it will pump at low as well.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year round as water temperatures range between 29 and 27 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
