Located in Nicaragua, The Boom is both the archetypical and ideal beach break. It’s archetypical in the sense that it does everything a beach break is supposed to do — it’s a barreling, peaky and fast wave. It’s ideal in the sense that it does all of the aforementioned things in a very special way. Check-in with a tide chart before you book your trip, because you’ll want a big high tide in the morning in order to see The Boom at its finest. The waves here break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom.
