Located in Northwest Puerto Rico, Leeward Islands, Hallows is a big, beautiful right-hand barreling break that is a little removed, but not too hard to find. The waves here are challenging to surf and will break for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a coral reef. There are some other high-quality waves in the area.
What are the best surf conditions for Hallows?
Gets good between head high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard and then a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will always have a crew (7/10). The best winds are from the South. The best swells are from the East or Northeast. Works on a mid to low tide.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures range between 29°C and 26°C (84°F to 79°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
