Located in Northwest Puerto Rico, Leeward Islands, Sandy Beach is a fun little beach break that offers up some fun sections for all levels of surfer. The waves here are approachable and break for up to 50 meters over a reef and sand bottom.
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend a longboard if smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here usually has something to ride (5/10) and will get busy at peak times (5/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the North and Northeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures range between 29 and 26. More...
