Located in Northwest Puerto Rico, Leeward Islands, Crash Boat is an excellent right-hand reef that offers up bowly performance sections and barrels when the conditions line up. The waves here require skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a coral reef.
What are the best surf conditions for Crash Boat?
Gets good between head high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or a step-up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here hardly ever breaks (2/10) and will get very busy at peak times 5/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the North and Northeast. Works on a mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year round. Water temperatures range between 29 and 26. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
