What are the best surf conditions for Wilderness?
Gets good between head high and triple overhead. A shortboard or step-up, then a gun are all suitable. Intermediates and advanced surfers only. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and will always have a crew (7/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the North and Northeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures range between 29 and 26. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
