Located in Northwest Puerto Rico, Leeward Islands, Surfers Beach is an excellent reef break that offers up a range of barrels from fun to punchy. The waves can get challenging and will break for up to 100 meters over a coral reef.
What are the best surf conditions for Surfers Beach?
Gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard or a step-up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will generally be crowded (8/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the North and Northeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures range between 29 and 26. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
