Located in Northwest Puerto Rico, Leeward Islands, Domes is the outside section of the collection of Rincon pointbreaks and offers up a long, high performance oriented right-hander. The waves here are not always easy to surf and break for up to 300 meters over a rocky bottom. Expect crowds, do not bring valuables.
What are the best surf conditions for Domes?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard then step up as the swell fills in. This break is suitable for intermediate and up surfers. The surf here is very consistent (8/10) and will get insanely crowded (9/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest. Works on a mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures range between 29 and 26. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
