Located on the Yorke Peninsula West of Adelaide, South Australia, Trespassers is a fun. powerful right-handed reef break. The drop can be a bit ledgy as the rock bottom rises up, but the wave then turns into a large wall for up to 100 meters perfect for carves, hacks, and snaps. It takes a bit of a walk to get here, but if the breaks nearby are closing out due to size, it will be epic here.
What are the best surf conditions for Trespassers?
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend a longboard, shortboard, or step up when it gets bigger. Trespassers is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers due to the difficult drop. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and due to its remote nature is usually uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are offshore and East and it prefers any tide but high. It takes a big South or Southwest swell to get it working.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer with water temperatures rising to a chilly 17 degrees in February. In winter the temperature drops to about 14 degrees, requiring a 4/3 suit. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
