Found just south of Adelaide, South Australia, Seaford is a fun reef break that rumbles over a rock and sand bottom. On its day the waves can be challenging while serving up long 150 meter walls perfect for carves, turns, highlines, and all-around ripping.
What are the best surf conditions for Seaford?
Gets good between waist high to double overhead. We recommend a shortboard here, or fish/longboard when smaller. Seaford is suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. It is a consistent break (7/10) and will be busy when it is good (5/10). The best winds are offshore from the East. The best swell direction is from the Southwest or West (hopefully large). It works best on mid tides.
A 3/2 wetsuit is good for the summer with water temps coming up to around 17 degrees in February. In winter a 4/3 is good for the chilly 14-degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
