Located in the West Coast District of South Africa, Rollers is a quality left-hand reef break that offers up some longer barreling rides when the conditions line up. The waves here are challenging at size and break for up to 100 meters (328 ft) over a rock reef.
What are the best surf conditions for Rollers?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard and then a step up here. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is consistent (6/10) and will be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Southwest or West. Works on a mid-tide best.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in summers when water temperatures rise to 18°C (64.4°F). In the winter, a 4/3 might be best as temps drop to about 15°C (59°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
