Located on the Cape Peninsula, South Africa, K 365 is an excellent reef break that offers up some top to bottom right-hand barrels for days than not. The waves here are heavy and break for up to 100 meters over a shallow rock ledge. Can get very very good, but watch out for the kelp and shallow rock.
What are the best surf conditions for K 365?
Gets good between head high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard and then step-up as the size picks up. This break is good for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is consistent (6/10) and will get busy at peak times (5/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the West. Works on a low to mid-tide best.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 19 degrees. In winter a 4/3 is best when temps drop to 15 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
