Located in Rhode Island, Narragansett Beach is a fun beach setup that breaks over a sand bottom (with some submerged objects watch out). The waves here can be tricky to surf and break for up to 50 meters providing some great sections for turns and hacks.
What are the best surf conditions for Narragansett Beach?
Gets good from waist high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when larger. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer depending on the swell. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and is generally not too crowded (4/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the East, South, and Southeast. Works best on low to mid tides.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temps rise to 21 degrees. In winter we recommend wearing a 5/4 when the water temperatures drop to 1 degree. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
