Located in Rhode Island, K38/39 are a pair of long reef/point waves that break inside the Point Judith Harbor of Refuge. The waves here break over a boulder covered bottom for up to 300 meters, providing great sections for manoeuvres. This spot never gets steep even at larger size making it a favourite for longboarders.
Gets good from chest high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here, or some other high volume craft. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is not consistent (4/10) and is generally crowded when good (8/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the South and Southeast. Low to mid tides deliver the goods.
