Located in Sonoma County, California, Timber Cove is a fun right-hand reef set-up that offers up a rippable wave when the conditions line up. The waves require a bit of skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a rocky reef. You’ll have to pay to get access to the beach, a campground owns the cove.
What are the best surf conditions for Timber Cove?
Gets good between head high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard then a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here sometimes has a wave (4/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the Northwest. The best swells are from the Northwest. Works on a low to mid tide.
