Located in Sonoma County, California, Doran Beach is an average beach break that offers up some barreling waves here on bigger NW swells and some mushier ones on South swells. The waves are generally pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Doran Beach?
Gets good between chest-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard when bigger. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here usually has something to ride (5/10) and will usually have a crew (6/10). The best winds are from the North. The best swells are from the Northwest, West, or Southwest. Works best on a mid to high tide.
