Located on the French side of the Channel, L’Anse du Brick is an excellent rocky reef break. The waves here require some skill to surf well and can break for up to 100 meters providing fun sections for manoeuvres.
What are the best surf conditions for L’Anse du Brick?
Gets good from waist-high to triple overhead, and handles size very well. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when the size steps up. This break is best suited to intermediate to advanced surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and can get quite crowded when it is working (8/10). The best winds are from the South. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works best on low to mid tides.
We recommend wearing a 4/3 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 16 degrees. In winter a 4/3 is best as water temperatures only drop to 10 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
