Located in Brittany, France, Boutrouilles is a quality beach break that provides a good shorebreak barrel and some wedges at higher tides. The waves here are straightforward to surf and break for up to 50 meters (164 feet) over a sand bottom. Popular with bodyboarders with decent wedges among the granite rocks.

It gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard here most days. This break is suitable for all levels of surfers. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and can get quite crowded, especially in summer (8/10). Overall, locals are friendly and the vibes are high. The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. It works best on mid to high tides.
