More on Le Dossen

Located in Brittany in Northern France, Le Dossen is a sloppy beach break that is exposed to strong winds. Popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers.

What are the best surf conditions for Le Dossen?

Gets good from waist high to triple overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard when the size steps up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here does not break often (3/10) and can get busy during holidays and weekends (5/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works on all tides.

We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 16 degrees. In winter a 4/3 is best when the temps drop to 10 degrees. See the temperature chart below More...
