Located in Brittany, France, Cap Frehel features a couple of fun beach breaks that offer up some great walls for turns and hacks. The waves here are pretty straightforward to surf and break for up to 50 meters (164 feet) over a sand bottom. Something will be working at any given tide.
What are the best surf conditions for Cap Frehel?
It gets good between waist-high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when the waves are smaller and a shortboard when they get bigger. Cap Frehel is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and when it does break, the crowds are frothing (8/10). The best winds are from the South. The best swells are from the Northwest and West. It works on all tides.
