Located in Brittany in Northern France, Trestaou is an excellent beach break that unloads over a sand bottom. The waves here aren’t easy to surf well and can break for up to 50 meters providing excellent barrel sections for the tube seekers in the area.
Gets good between waist-high to triple overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard when the size arrives. This beach is suitable for all levels of surfers. The surf here does not break often (3/10) and is generally crowded (7/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works well on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 16 degrees. In More...
