Located in Brittany in Northern France, Pors Ar Villec is a quality beach that breaks over a sand bottom. The waves here require a bit of skill to surf well and break for up to 50 meters putting out some barrels for the tube seekers.
What are the best surf conditions for Pors Ar Villec?
Gets good from waist high to triple overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and can get crowded when the waves are on (7/10). The best winds are from the Southwest. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works best on a medium to high tide.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 16 degrees. In winter a 4/3 is best when the temps drop to 10 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
