Located in Central Baja, Mexico, San Jorge is a decent stretch of deserted beach break that offers up some fun waves on almost any swell. This area is only accessible by boat. The waves here break for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a sand bottom and are pretty straightforward to surf.
What are the best surf conditions for San Jorge?
Gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard then step up as the size picks up. This break is good for all levels of surfer. The surf here usually has something to ride (5/10) and will be empty (1/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summers and a 4/3 in the winters. Water temperatures range from 20°C to 15°C (68°F to 59°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
