Located in Limon, Costa Rica, Punta Uva is a quality right-hand reef/point set-up that offers up some rippable and at times hollow sections. The waves here can be challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a coral reef.
What are the best surf conditions for Punta Uva?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard or a step up as the size picks up. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and will sometimes have a crew (6/10). The best winds are from the Southwest. The best swells are from the East, North, and Northeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year round. Water temperatures range between 29 and 28. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
