Located in Limon, Costa Rica, Cocaine Point is a quality but rare right reef that offers up some rippable walls. The waves here are generally pretty heavy and break for up to 100 meters over a coral reef.
What are the best surf conditions for Cocaine Point?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard or step-up when it gets bigger. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here does not break very often (3/10) and will usually have a crew (6/10). The best winds are from the Southwest. The best swells are from the North or Northeast, hence why it is so inconsistent. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year round as water temperatures range between 29 and 28. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
