Located in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, Langosta is a fun cove with some beach break and a river mouth putting up some peaky A-frames. The waves here can be a bit challenging and break for up to 100 meters over a rock and sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Langosta?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard, then a step-up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on a mid to high tide.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures range between 29 and 27. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
