What are the best surf conditions for Playa Santa Teresa?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard or step-up when it gets bigger. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer but beginners should steer clear as the size picks up. The surf here is consistent (8/10) and will get quite crowded (8/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, West, and South. Works best on a low to mid-tide.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year round as water temperatures range between 29 and 28. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
