Located in Golfo de Nicoya, Costa Rica, Cedros is a fun left point break that offers up some slow but good sections for longboarding and sometimes ripping. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a rock and sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Cedros?
Gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here most days and a shortboard on the rarer bigger ones. This spot is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and will get busy at times (5/10). The best winds are from the Northwest. The best swells are from the South and Southwest. Works on a high tide only.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures range between 29 and 28. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
