Located in the West Coast District of South Africa, Heaven is a fun right-hand point break that offers up foamy, thick, and kelpy barrels. The waves here are pretty heavy and hollow, breaking for up to 100 meters (328 ft) over a shallow rock bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Heaven?
Gets good between head high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard and then a step up as the size picks up. This break is good for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will generally be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the Southwest and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in summers when water temperatures rise to 18°C (64.4°F). In the winter, a 4/3 might be best as temps drop to about 15°C (59°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
