Located in Taghazout, Morocco, Tafadna is a fun right-hand point break that offers up a long performance and barreling ride. The waves here require some skill to surf and break for up to 200 meters (656 feet) over a rock and sand bottom. This point will be quieter than the busier ones in town, but you might need a 4WD to get here.
What are the best surf conditions for Tafadna?
Tafadna gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard then a step up as the size picks up. This break is good for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and will get busy at peak times (5/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest. Works best on a mid-tide.
We recommend wearing a springsuit in the summers when water temps rise to 25°C (77°F). In the winters, a 3/2 is best as water temps drop to 18°C (64.4°F). See our temperature chart below for more data on this.
