Located in Taghazout, Morocco, Mysteries is a fun reef break that offers up a right and left peak, similar in nature if not quality to Trestles. The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 200 meters over a rock bottom. Right near some fun camping and walking distance to Anchor Point and Killers.
What are the best surf conditions for Mysteries?
Mysteries gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard and then a step up as the size picks up. This break is good for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will always have a crew (7/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Northwest. Works on a mid to high tide as low tide will expose the reef.
We recommend wearing a springsuit in the summers when water temps rise to 21°C (69.8°F). In the winters, a 3/2 is best as water temps drop to 18°C (64.4°F). See our temperature chart below for more data on this.
