Located in Taghazout, Morocco, Spiders is a quality right reef break that offers up a fast, barreling ride. The waves here are pretty heavy and break for up to 50 meters (164 feet) over a rocky bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Spiders?
Spiders gets good between chest-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or a step-up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the North and Northwest. Works best on mid to high tide.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 25°C (77°F). In the winter, a 5/4 wetsuit is best when water temps drop to 9°C (48.2°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
