Located just south of the lighthouse of Cap Whir, an old shipwrecked boiler that still lies at the start of the wave gives its name to this spot. Exposed to the SW-N swells, Boilers is a powerful and fast right-hand point break that ends up onto a shallow reef covered with urchins. Paddling in and out can be very tricky and only very experienced surfers should give it a go.
