Located in Brevard County on the East Coast of Florida, Spanish House is a quality beachie breaking over a sand bottom. The waves here are good when on, a peaky beach break. The break can be tricky to surf, but the waves break for up to 100 meters providing some great barrel sections. Same stretch of coast as Sebastian Inlet, usually a little smaller than that beach though.
What are the best surf conditions for Spanish House?
Gets good from chest high to double overhead. A longboard will work here when smaller but a shortboard is the board to have when the swell arrives. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is not super consistent (4/10) and will be crowded when the swell is on (9/10). This beach loves groundswells, come here when there is energy from the North, East, or Northeast. The best winds are from the West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 29 degrees. In winter a springsuit is all you need with temps only dropping to 21 degrees. see the temperature chart below for more data on this.
