Located in Brevard County on the East Coast of Florida, Pelican Beach Park is a fun reef break with a sand bottom. The waves here are peaky and resemble a beach break, peeling for up to 150 meters serving up some perfect sections to gouge into. This spot is home to CJ and Damian Hobgood.
What are the best surf conditions for Pelican Beach Park?
Gets good between chest high to double overhead on good groundswells. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when the waves get bigger. This spot is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will usually have a crew on it when its good (6/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the East, South, Northeast, and Southeast. Works best on low tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini in the summer when water temps rise to 29 degrees. In winter a springsuit is perfect when water temps drop only to 21 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
