Located in Southeast Scotland, Pease Bay is an alright beach break that offers up some easygoing waves perfect for longboarders and beginners. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand and rock bottom. The rights are generally longer than the lefts.
What are the best surf conditions for Pease Bay?
Gets good between waist high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will therefore be crowded at times (7/10). The best winds are from the Southwest. The best swells are from the East, Northeast, and Southeast. Works on a mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing a 4/3 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 14 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temps drop to 7 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
