Located in Southeast Scotland, Coldingham Bay is a fun and punchy beach break that offers up some good performance-based waves when the conditions line up. The waves here require a bit of skill to surf well and break for up to 50 meters over a sand and rock bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Coldingham Bay?
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard here and a step up as the size picks up. this break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here isn’t the most consistent (4/10) and can get a bit busy on weekends and holidays (5/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the East, Northeast, and Southeast. Works on a high tide best.
