Located in Landes, France, Moliets Plage is a beach break that attracts a crowd disproportional to the quality of the waves here. The bottom here is all sand and the waves break for up to 50 meters occasionally providing some decent sections for manoeuvres.
What are the best surf conditions for Moliets Plage?
Gets good from waist high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. The break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will be insanely crowded, especially in summers (10/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In winter a 5/4 is best when water temps drop to 12 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
