More on Ondres Plage

Located in Landes, France, Ondres Plage is a quality beach break that provides some great, but at times difficult waves. The bottom here is all sand and the waves break over it for about 50 meters providing some great sections for manoeuvres.

What are the best surf conditions for Ondres Plage?

Gets good from waist high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller here and a shortboard or step-up when the size arrives. This break is suitable for all levels, but beginners should steer clear when it’s bigger. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will always have a crew on it (7/10). The best winds are from the East, Northeast, or Southeast. Best swells come from the Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
