Watch out for some pollution near the river mouth.
What are the best surf conditions for Contis-Plage?
Works well from waist high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when the size steps up. this break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and can get busy between July and September (5/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works on all tides depending on the banks.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In winter a 5/4 is necessary for the 12-degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
