Located on the Cape Peninsula, South Africa, Muizenberg is a decent beach break that offers up some easygoing sections great for beginners and longboarders. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters (164 feet) over a sand bottom. Gets crowded during the summer holidays.
What are the best surf conditions for Muizenberg?
It gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard if it steps up in size. This break is good for all levels of surfer. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will get very crowded at times (8/10). The best winds are from the Northwest. The best swells are from the South, Southeast, or Southwest. It works best on a low-to-mid tide.
